Domen Verdnik, CEO
Domen Verdnik was the first to identify the extent of the opportunity for what is now Sekvenca Medical. He has brought together the team with their know-how and provided the funds to finance the initial product development and medical studies.

Domen is a 25 year senior of Slovene technology markets. He has been involved in several successful technology-based undertakings in the region. Importantly, Domen has previously successfully completed a full cycle of VC investment with Eon, one of very few Slovene venture capital stories. EMP, the US-based private equity company's Eastern European Infrastructure Fund invested USD 10 million in 1999 in Eon and successfully exited in 2004 with superior returns.

Domen is a physics graduate of University of Ljubljana and has received specialised training at institutions in the UK and the USA.

Tomaž Sešek, VP Sales & Marketing
Tomaž Sešek is responsible for the sales and marketing at Sekvenca Medical while temporarily taking care of the finances as well.

Tomaž has worked in computer industry for over a decade. He has been involved in several business developments throughout Europe. Amongst others he was the initiator of the ERP Business Unit at ADACTA, Ljubljana, which has over the last 6 years become the largest ERP business solutions provider in South-Eastern Europe. Most recently, he has worked as an independent consultant to a number of growing businesses and regional private equity funds.

Tomaž graduated in Computer Science from Cambridge University, UK, and also holds an MBA from INSEAD, France. Having lived and worked extensively in 6 European countries has given him the opportunity to learn the importance of cultural differences and the ways to use them for benefit.

Urban Velkavrh, CTO
Urban Velkavrh is the technical brain of the sqube, the core system enabling SQ Tools to provide excellent performance of 3D visualisation on regular computers. He and his team are responsible for development of new SQ Tools.

Before joining Sekvenca, Urban worked in the computer industry since his high school graduation and throughout the university. He worked with several IT companies and IT projects in Slovenia and across Europe. He has been involved in 3D medical imaging tool development since 2002, providing the technological platform for the projects carried out. Predecessors of sqube have been used in several commercial and artistic projects.

Urban is a Computer Science graduate of the University of Ljubljana and is currently completing his dissertation to obtain a Masters of Science.
