SQ SIM: SQUADPAD

Squad Portable Air Defense Systems Simulator

The SQ SIM: SQUADPAD is a simulator for squad/man Portable Air Defense System such as: Stinger, Strela, IGLA, IGLA-S or any SAM or GTAM weapons.

The SQUADPAD simulator enables the crew to train on target identification and on the specific system operation.

The SQUADPAD simulator enables creation of various scenarios, controls target behavior, quantities and trajectory in real time.

The simulator can also simulate weather conditions - cloud, fog, rain & visibility can be changed during the training.

The system presents 3D terrain based on real geospatial data (DTM-digital terrain model, digital ortofoto, satellite images), various types of airborne targets (active objects such as airplanes, clouds, IR-emitting buildings) and passive objects (vegetation, vehicles, radars, buildings, tactical symbols, soldiers) with natural phenomena (sun position, reduced visibility, clouds, wind) that create an indoor realistic training environment that simulates scenarios met by the SAM crew in the battlefield.

System highlights

  • Real 3D terrains
  • 360 degree 3D view through launcher-mounted display or Head Mounted Display with targets as seen from assigned location
  • Various types of airborne targets with their real flight profile
