Initial SQ Liver Study

Initial SQ Liver Study included 24 patients that compared predictions by CT alone and predictions with use of SQ Liver to the actual surgery.

Results show:

  • In 37% of patients, SQ Liver plan suggested an actual surgery while CT alone did not. A majority of these were patients with 4 or more segments resected and all surgeries were carried out successfully.
  • Resectability was judged equal in both predictions and the actual surgery in 79% of all cases.

Overall, the surgeons estimated SQ Liver makes provedure more secure in 71% od cases and feel the cost benefit in 67% of all cases. Importantly, 33% of all cases would not be operated without information provided by SQ Liver.
